Project 2a & b

   Project 2a

Nature inspires buildings. We are asked to choose buildings which are inspired from nature or natural things. I choose the Redwood House located at Auckland, New Zealand because the concept of its shape and structure is inspired from cocoon. Cocoon is a silk protective cover spun by the larvae of certain insects. For example, cocooning happens when caterpillar starts transforming itself to a butterfly. I drew cocoon by using grid as a guide.

    Project 2b

This is my drawing of the Redwood House. The photo was taken from Internet. Drawing of project 2b needs to be colored by using color pencils. No limitation of color. First, I drew the redwood house. Then followed by the trees and sky as the background. The whole picture looks fresh and abundant in nature air. The scene is amazing and fantastic. This place is a restaurant. It is not a dine-in restaurant. People must rent the whole place as to set up a function or event. It can occupy 30 people as a table-seat meals or 50 people as a standing buffet style. Everyone should have wonderful and sweet memories at there.
